You’re probably saying to yourself “I don’t believe it” !!! well it’s true. I got indexed on Google in 6 days. I was ecstatic I couldn’t believe it myself.
The first day I built my website I had no idea what getting indexed or ranked in search engines meant. I was a complete novice. Even though I had in years gone by dabbled in internet marketing.
You may think this is a hard task to get ranked so fast. Not if you follow some golden rules and guidelines. You can be indexed on Google in a very short time.
Why do you want to be a successful marketer?
Maybe you have seen someone else’s website who is making money. You may think to yourself I can do that. Whatever reason you build a website or blog, it becomes more addictive every day. The more addicted you become the more enjoyment you will find. When you are enjoying it you are more open to learning.
First and foremost ask yourself why you want to work online. It may be for the glory of it, it may be to get recognized, it may be because you have too much time on your hands, whatever the reasons you have, you want to do it for your own reasons. The main reason though I have found that it will be about the money, self-esteem, and accomplishment. Am I right?
I could start talking about self-improvement here but I will leave that for another time. Mindset does play an important role in working from home and online. Stay tuned for that blog.
Golden Rules and Guidelines
1. Create an informative website
Who wants to visit a website that promises everything (in terms of information) only to get there and the website lets you down dramatically. Most visitors want an answer to a question even though they may not know it. You as a blogger need to answer those questions and answer them informatively.
Be helpful to your readers, Google will love you for it. Google will pick up on the fact that you are trying to inform your readers and be especially helpful to them. The content text needs to be relevant to what people are looking for too.
2. Keyword Research
Keyword research is a must. Again what are your visitors looking for? How would they type in the search bar? You can only guess. Try asking yourself what you would type in the search bar if you were looking for something or wanted a question answered. This will put you on the right path to doing keyword research.
These days it is no longer necessary to go about keyword research the hard way. There are plenty of keyword research tools on the market to help you. I am a great fan of one call Jaaxy it will help enormously in your keyword research. The review “best free keyword research tool” will teach you all there is to know about Jaaxy.
3. Use Google Webmaster Tools
Google has a very convenient site, especially for webmasters. You will need to authenticate your website. The way to do this is to upload your website into google webmaster tools to verify the website belongs to you.
You can also submit a sitemap. This, in short, is a list of pages that link to your homepage. Create a sitemap from google then you can upload it to your website. Google will need to know where to find your sitemap. Follow the instructions for Google to find your sitemap and once they find it you will find that your website will be crawled more easily.
4. Link Building
Basically, the more links you have pointing to your website the more authority your website will have. The more authority you have the more you have a chance of being ranked higher in the search engines.
SEO (search engine optimization) is another key to getting indexed faster. Implementing SEO is either easy or hard depending on the individual. You will have to learn SEO or get a professional to do it for you. The more you learn the more you implement it and the easier it will get.
6. Write Articles
Write articles and post them in article directories. More on this below.
These steps will without a doubt get your website indexed faster.
Pre- Post Checklist
1. Write a catchy title
Use your keyword tool to generate a catchy title or you can try Blog Ideas Generator or try any of these 74 attention-grabbing blog title templates. Just fill in the blanks.
2. Post your blog in the appropriate category.
3. Have a featured image near the top or at the top of your page. Also, use supporting images. Remember to use an Alt description for your images so the search engines know what the image is about.
4. Use H2 headings to break up your text and to also let your visitors get an idea of what to expect in the next paragraphs of your page.
5. Use internal and external links.
6. Use your keyword or keyword phrase in the meta title. Also in the meta description and within the first paragraph of your blog. The end paragraph too.
7. Embed a video if using.
8. Write your call to action. Many visitors won’t read your blog all the way through. so it’s a good idea to use your call to action near the beginning of your post. Put your call to action at the end too.
That’s basically it for your blog post checklist. It may seem a little daunting at the beginning trying to remember all these points. You must remember that you are doing this to get indexed as quickly as possible.
Include the 6 steps above and the 8 points on the pre-post checklist and you will be well on your way to being indexed in the search engines. I wanted to add that I have known some webmasters to be indexed within 24 hours. This is truly amazing.
The reason myself and others have been indexed so quickly is because we are members of a great training program called Wealthy Affiliate. The method of training they give is far beyond what I now know to be fantastic.
If you would like to take a tour of Wealthy Affiliate you can do. It has a free starter plan so no credit card needed.
I got indexed on Google in 6 days by using the above strategy. I was also taught these methods by the great training I received from Wealthy Affiliate.
