Welcome to my review of – Is the Dosh App a scam.
Well, I think we all know what the word DOSH means. Of course, it is a slang word for money or cash. I don’t even have to show you any proof from a dictionary that the slang word Dosh means money or cash.
The very first thing I want to mention is that the Dosh app can only be used in the USA at the moment.
Anyone that resides in the United States (for now) is able to use Dosh.
Name: Dosh App
Website: Dosh App
Product Type: Cash Back
Who is it for: Anyone wanting to get cash back on purchases made
BBB Rating: A Rating
Scam: Definitely Not
Linking Your Card(s)
The very first thing you need to do is link one of your cards.
To link a card or add additional cards to your Dosh account follow the step-by-step instructions below. You will receive $5 in your Dosh Wallet for linking your first verified card. However, the total number of cards you can link is unlimited. You can link your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express cards.
They do not accept prepaid, Discover, or department store cards at the moment.
Once you join Dosh follow the steps below to add your very first card.
1. Tap on the three lines left of your image to bring up the main menu
2. Tap on the Accounts & Cards tab
3. Select the Credit/Debit Cards tab
4. Add your card by manually entering your card information
- Enter card number
- Enter expiration date
- Enter CVV (on the back of your card)
- Enter zip code (make sure to add the zip code that’s on your billing address)
- Agree to the card linking terms and add your card
Once your card is linked, please allow a day to ensure the information has been registered with Dosh. Otherwise, this may result in a no cash back instance for a purchase.
***Please note: If you’re using your debit card, you must swipe it like a credit card (do not use your PIN #) to receive your cash back. Otherwise, the transaction goes directly to your bank and not the credit card companies that we are linked with (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). This is a known “no cash back” instance in the industry and not isolated only to Dosh. They track your cash backs through your credit card transactions, not your bank transactions.
Since November 2017, the Better Business Bureau has determined that Dosh Holdings, Inc. meets the agency’s standards of accreditation. The company has an A- rating. Not bad.
How does the Dosh App Work
Dosh works by giving their members cash back for doing the things they already love doing, like shopping and dining out.
They will help you save some “Dosh” on your purchases when you redeem a Dosh offer.
Dosh gives cash back savings from hundreds of thousands of local businesses and online stores participating in the Dosh Offers Program.
The business provides a Dosh cashback offer for each purchase. Virtually no work is required. No coupons to clip, no code to show the cashier, no promo codes to keep track of, no loyalty cards that you have to remember to bring, no scanning receipts, no work. You don’t have to do a thing. Just receive constant cash surprises.
Get cash back automatically every time you use a card connected to your Dosh app to redeem a Dosh offer. Additionally, the details of any Dosh offers can be found by clicking on the detail links under the offers.
Nearby Offers Tab
Shop local offers in your area. They will appear in your app when that particular business location is participating in one of the cash back programs. Simply visit the local merchant you found listed in the app at the specific street address, pay for your purchase with your connected card, and you will receive cash back after you have made your purchase.
They recommend making sure you keep your receipt of purchase until you get your cash back credited to your Dosh wallet.
Online Offers Tab
Shop through the online offers tab of the app. Valid online offers, their specific discounts and any restrictions will be displayed in the Online Offer. Unlike other cashback sites, you do not have to make an online purchase through a link. You only have to make sure they offer that store as an Online Offer and use a card connected to your account. It’s as simple as that!
Online Offers require up to 45 days for the merchant’s return period to expire before any cash back is deposited into your Dosh wallet.
How do I Earn with Dosh
- In-store shopping
- Online shopping
- Hotel rooms

Most retailers pay anything from 1%- 10% cash back. Except for hotel rooms where the cashback can be up to $10 and upwards for a night.

Your payouts should be instantaneous. (Except for online purchases which can take up to 45-days)
