Welcome to my Microworkers review
Have you ever heard of Microworkers? Well, today I want to show my readers what Microworkers is all about and whether it is a viable option to join or is it just a waste of time.
What is Microworkers?
Microworkers is an International online platform that connects Employers and Workers from around the world.
The tasks assigned to Workers are paid for by Employers which are simple and quick and mostly completed in a few minutes, so that’s why they are called micro-jobs.
Some of the more challenging tasks may include data mining, data categorization, data tagging, data labelling, data matching, sentiment analysis, event sequencing, transcription, content comparison, content evaluation, surveys, research studies, application testing and much more.
Joining Microworkers is free, and as it is an International site, anyone from any country can be a member.
Price: Free for Workers
What do Microworkers do?
Anyone can be a Worker. You can be a stay-at-home mom, a student who needs extra money, or maybe you just want to help others while making some extra cash.
You will be working as a freelancer. You are not employed by Microworkers.
You can work as much or as little as you want. So your potential for earning is also limitless since you can accept all the jobs you believe you are capable of completing and get paid for them.
Some of the tasks are quite simple, for instance, liking a page on Facebook or subscribing to a video channel.
Some of the tasks can be more challenging which might include data mining, data categorization, data tagging, data labelling, data matching, sentiment analysis, event sequencing, transcription, content comparison, content evaluation, surveys, research studies, application testing and much more.
Some of the tasks involve giving out your personal information. I would skip these tasks completely as this can lead to many problems. As Microworkers does not screen tasks there could be people on Microworkers that just want your personal information. So I would avoid these tasks at all costs.
What is an Employer?
Anyone can be an Employer. If you own online businesses, a blog, a video channel or simply need referrals for your favourite programs. Microworkers will assign the tasks to active workers.
Can I be a Worker and Employer at the same time?
Yes, signing up to Microworkers allows you to take micro-jobs. And also, you can start projects (campaigns) you wish to run. You can use the same account to do this.
You simply have to click on the Start a Campaign option and post your job. What’s more, you can use the earnings you have earned as a Worker to fund your campaign as an Employer. You will need a minimum of $10 to start a campaign.
What is Reputation?
The number of stars in each category reflects your Reputation. The greater the number of your Satisfied tasks, the more stars will be assigned to you (1-5). Workers with most stars will be included in the Best Workers group.
Reflection on a good reputation. The best way to get a good reputation online is to have your own website and start blogging on it in a niche of your choice.
You can monetize your website through affiliate marketing. If you optimize your website and offer unique content on your website you will start to gain a reputation through SERPS (search engine results page).
Read my article on How to get on Google.
Also, you may need a great affiliate training program. This is the one I use even to this day as you can gain much knowledge through the community not to mention the training itself.
Hire Group Jobs
Hire Group jobs are tasks given to chosen Workers of Employers. Employers might include you in their Hire Group campaigns by referring to your Reputation.
The higher the reputation you have in a certain category, the better your chances are in getting hired. You will be able to see available Hire Group tasks in the HG jobs tab from the top menu as well as in the Jobs tab having an icon.
What is a Success Rate and why do I need to maintain it?
The Microworkers Success Rate ensures Employers that they get quality results from the campaigns they are running. This feature prevents workers from posting spam or fake proofs, and low-quality output of the tasks they perform.
Poorly performed tasks will give you a negative rating and will pull your Success Rate down. To maintain a high Success Rate, make sure to only accept tasks you are capable of completing.
The Temporary Success Rate is the Rating you can find below your Success Rate. It calculates your working ability including Satisfied vs Not-Satisfied tasks + Not-Rated tasks in a period of the last 60 days. Try to ensure that your Temporary Success Rate is always above 75% to be able to continue performing jobs.
How do You earn money?
Look for micro- jobs, click on the tasks link and browse through the hundreds of listed tasks. Each task will display a set of instructions, the time to complete it and the amount you will earn for finishing the job.
If you believe you can finish the task, click on I accept this job to accept this job, and the page will display a form where you can enter the proof required by the Employer. Otherwise, click on Not interested in this job if you do not wish to perform the job.
The rate of pay is anything from 10 cents to $2 plus. (micro money if you ask me) You will receive a $1 bonus for signing up. You will also receive $1 for a referral.
The minimum payout is $9 and payment is paid via Check, PayPal, Moneybookers, Payoneer, Alertpay, and Dwolla. ( fees attached).
Withdrawals require a pin in order to be activated.
Your PIN is mailed to your home/mailing address after placing your first withdrawal request. This is an automated process. The reason why a PIN is mailed to your mailing address is to ensure that all Workers are verified, this, prevents multiple accounts.
Once the PIN is mailed, this status will be displayed in your account and a link will appear on your page where you may enter your PIN once it is received.
After this is completed, your withdrawals will be activated.
The PIN process is only performed for the first withdrawal request and will no longer be repeated once your withdrawals are activated.
There has been a problem with some people waiting a couple of months for their PIN, but it should normally take between 1-4 weeks. A PIN requirement can be waived only if you choose to withdraw your funds using Dwolla (the US only) Local Funds Transfer via Transpay or Payoneer for withdrawal.
Payments to Workers are sent twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday. Requested withdrawal amount using Bank Transfer via Transpay will be credited to your local bank within 3-5 business days.
I wouldn’t say Microworkers is a scam as some members have been paid. Saying that I would not recommend this program as there are just too many complaints about not being paid and that payments are still pending.
Make Real Money Online
Making money online is sometimes hard. It can be hit and miss if you don’t take the steps to learn how to market online.
I wouldn’t bother with the websites like Microworkers. There is too much time involved and not enough money to be made. (if you get paid at all).
The best way to make money is by creating your own business website and monetizing it with affiliate links or ads.
This has been a proven model to work over and over again.
The best way to go about making money online is not to fall for these websites that promise the earth, take your money and are nowhere to be seen afterwards.
You need a genuine marketing model. I belong to a great affiliate marketing platform that shows you exactly how to make money online. It is not a get rich quick scheme but a genuine marketing training platform.
