Welcome to The Userfeel Review
I would like to congratulate you for taking the time to read my review and using your due diligence to research into any kind of program like this that claims you can make money online.
I am an online review and article writer who wants to help you avoid get-rich-quick scams and find genuine money making methods that actually work.
Website: Userfeel Website
Founder: Yannis Karampelas
Price: Free for Testers
Who is it for: Anyone who wants to test websites
Product Type: Get paid to – Website testing platform
What is Userfeel?
There are 2 kinds of services that Userfeel have. Userfeel for clients and Userfeel for paid testers.
Userfeel for clients is for website owners to get valuable and useful feedback on their sites.
Userfeel started in 2010 when Yannis Karampelas wanted to optimize the websites of his Greek clients. He could not find a way to perform remote usability testing with Greek users, so Userfeel was born.
Become a Tester and Earn $10 Per Test
To apply to become a tester you will need to pass a qualifying test. To do this you will need to download Userfeel’s screen and voice recording software.
You will also need a microphone. Most laptops come with a built-in microphone. If you do not have one you will have to buy one at your own cost. Take a look at the one below.
Your profile will need you to fill in various demographic criteria like age, gender, country, language, and level of web experience. See the screenshot below.
The qualifying process is one which uses a scoring system. The higher your score the more tests sent your way.
In the initial test, each new tester needs to take this in order to verify that they have a microphone and that they can speak their thoughts while completing tasks.
Before you start a test, you may be asked to answer one or more screener questions in order to determine that you are the right fit for the test.
For example, if the client needs to test a website selling baby strollers, you may be asked whether or not you have small children. If you meet the criteria, you will proceed to take the test. If not, another tester will be contacted.
The answers you provide to screener questions are strictly confidential and none of your personal data (including your name or email) is revealed to the client or any other third party.
Your main job is to conduct usability tests on websites. Your job is to imagine a given scenario and perform certain tasks, like finding a product in an online store and going through the checkout process.
This helps site owners find and fix usability issues.
Each test lasts 10-20 minutes and is completed with your home computer or smartphone.
Below is an example of tasks and questions you may be asked whilst doing a test.
How Many Tests Will I receive?
How many tests you receive will be up to the demographics that you filled in when you signed up to become a tester. Also the qualification test, testers receive their first rating that will determine if and how often they’ll get to do paid usability tests.
It can also depends on how many tests are available and how many testers a client wants to use. For example. if a client wants 20 testers and 100 people are suitable for the test then if you are not quick in getting the test done you will lose out on that test to another tester.
What Makes a Good Tester?
Good usability testers speak as they surf the website they are testing. They express their thoughts and can provide useful feedback on how they expected the website to work.
- Perform the required tasks according to the test scenario
- Speak loudly and clearly into the microphone
- Perform the test in a quiet place
- Continuously explain what they are doing and why
- Say what confuses them, and what attracts their attention
- Propose things that would help them perform the required task
- Provide useful comments
- Thoroughly answer the questions in writing, at the end of the test
For some people, testing is naturally easy to do while others may need some practice.
Once you have done a test you will be rated by the customer. The better you are rated the more tests will be assigned to you. Your rating can take anywhere from 7-15-days to be decided.
Once your test is approved you will be paid $10 per test via PayPal or Amazon Gift Cards. This is usually paid out approx. one week after approval.
My Observations About Userfeel
New tests become available at any time of the day or night. And you will be competing for the tests that are available with hundreds of other users whose demographic is a good fit for the test.
If you don’t start the test when you receive the notification, another tester will be assigned to it. Not taking tests that are assigned to you doesn’t negatively affect your rating.
It’s advisable to do the tests as they become available so you don’t miss out.
Another observation is that once you have completed a test it is up to the customer to approve or disapprove your test. This could become a problem. So even if your test is good the customer could still disapprove your test for any of the following reasons.
Reasons for Not Getting Paid for A Test?
Userfeel want to provide their clients with a service of high quality, so they will have to deny payment and redo the test with another tester in the following cases:
- You have not tried to complete all the tasks. Make sure that you try to perform all the required tasks.
- You have not provided comments on the microphone while taking the test. Speak your thoughts aloud as you do the test.
- Audio is not clear. Test your microphone before taking each test and make sure that you speak calmly and clearly near the microphone.
- There is noise in the background. Find a quiet place and keep dogs and kids in another room while taking the test.
- You have multiple monitors and you recorded the wrong one. Make sure that the Userfeel app will record the monitor with the browser in it. Check the preview that we provide in the app.
- You have set up the external camera for a mobile test incorrectly. Make sure that the camera is at the right angle, focused and with good light exposure.
- You receive a call during a mobile test. Put the phone in do not disturb mode before starting a test so that you don’t receive any calls while you are recording.
Userfeel is a legit program you can use to do tests for $10 a pop. The tests are quite easy to do so long as you have the confidence to speak your thoughts into a microphone. It may take some practice. So be prepared and aware that you might have your first tests disapproved.
As of writing this review I have not seen any payment threshold. It seems that you will be paid approx 1 week after your test is approved.

The potential to earn money with Userfeel is pretty low. It is certainly not a way to make a passive income, online.
However, do I recommend Userfeel?
How I Make A Passive Income Online
To be able to make a passive income online you need to join affiliate programs that have a recurring income system. When I say recurring income I mean income that is attributed to you for doing something once and getting paid over and over again.
The best way to do this is to join a membership affiliate program. I belong to one called Wealthy Affiliate whereby you receive recurring income for referring others to the platform.
Not only has Wealthy Affiliate got a great commission structure it is also an affiliate marketing training platform that will teach you everything you need to know on how to set-up your own business website.
