I am here to assure you I have nothing to do with or I am not affiliated with this product.
This is an independent review with my honest and open opinion. I have nothing to gain by writing this review.
I would also like to inform my readers in my CardCash review whether or not it is a legit product to use. And if it worth your time and effort.

What is CardCash?
Selling Gift Cards
CardCash is a buy and sell platform for your unwanted gift cards. They buy your gift cards for a lesser value and resell them at a discounted price to shoppers everywhere.
You can actually get up to 92% for your unwanted gift cards. That’s not a bad return for your gift card considering it’s an unwanted or never to be used gift.
CardCash buy and sell almost every gift card imaginable on their website.
You will be paid either by a check in the mail. Paypal or ACH Deposit. You can also trade your gift card for a brand new one. The payment is usually processed within 1-2-days.
Buying Gift Cards
Once you have ordered and paid for your gift card(s) you will be either sent them by mail to your home address or you can receive an email with the card No. and pin access No.
CardCash will also send you details and instructions by email on how to use your new gift card.
You can pay for your gift cards with a credit card, PayPal, or BitCoin.
When you buy or sell gift cards CardCash will need to see your credit card details.
This allows the site to verify the identity of its customers and to protect non-members from getting fraudulent gift cards.
*Warning*… There are some unscrupulous people who are abusing the system that you need to be aware of.
When you buy a gift card the balance could be zero because of the following:
(1) The card was purchased with a stolen credit card and subsequently cancelled by the issuing company.
(2) The original owner used the card number after selling it to CardCash.
To protect yourself follow the steps below.
These simple steps will keep you safe from unscrupulous sellers and fraudulently obtained gift cards:
- Check your gift card balance before going to the store.
- Use the full balance of the card within 45 days of the purchase. IMPORTANT! Even if you checked the balance and it was fine within 45 days, the guarantee expires at 45 days from your purchase date. All you need to do is use the card within 45 days.
- Report any balance discrepancy within 45 days of the purchase to firstname.lastname@example.org.

What Is CardCash – Conclusion
Selling your unwanted gift cards, in essence, is a great idea.
However, on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website, CardCash has a rating of F which is the lowest rating that BBB gives out.
I also came across many complaints on Sitejabber that are quite concerning. As of the time of writing this, there were hundreds of reviews about Card Cash and all of them were negative. (Yes I went through them all). The reviews were saying things like thieves, rip off, fraud, scam, liars, avoid and so on. I think you get the picture.
The main complaints were about purchasing gift cards that had a zero balance on them.
Another complaint that I found was not getting paid for selling your gift cards.
In my personal opinion, the CardCash system has some serious flaws. Clients are getting zero balances on the gift cards they buy. And other clients are not being paid for selling their gift cards.
When a client asks for a refund CardCash uses their 45-day guarantee excuse for not refunding clients.
It seems you have to use your purchased gift cards before the 45-day guarantee period to get any kind of refund. All gift cards these days do not have an expiry date so why do CardCash want you to use them before 45-days?
As some clients have said in their reviews. If you send your gift cards to CardCash they will be able to make a note of the gift card No. and pin No. And possibly resell that card to other unsuspecting customers.
They specifically say on their FAQ’s page that there is no need to send in the cards as you can just enter the card No. and Pin No. on their website.
As for zero balances on cards. It makes sense to me that other people have been sold the exact same card with the same Card No. and Pin No.
I feel that with the hundred of negative complaints CardCash is running a very fraudulent business.
Do I recommend CardCash?
If you genuinely want to sell your gift cards then Walmart is offering a gift card trade-in program. Whereby you will receive a Walmart gift card in exchange for your card. They will not give you the amount that is on the gift card. They say they will give up to 97% of the value. But that is not a guarantee.
Unfortunately, they use a 3rd party company CardCash for these transactions. If you want to try your luck going through the Walmart option then always be aware of the 45-day money back guarantee. Use your cards up before the 6 week period.
I have found another website platform that allows you to sell your gift cards it’s called CardPool
I have not done a review about CardPool so I am unaware of any issues with this site.
You can find a few more sites to sell your gift cards. Just do a search on any search engine. Type in sell your gift cards and you will see a few options. Or follow the link.
